CIA Reveals Russia 'Helped Donald Trump Get Elected'

From the day results were out and it was announced that its Donald Trump who has won the 45th US Presidential election, there were speculations among many that how he got a comfortable win over Hillary Clinton. These speculations were further followed by protest coming in from people across the nation. And there were agencies trying to figure out how the result turned out to be in favour of Donald.

While Donald is all set to take charge of his new office next month, Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) assessment has come out with a claim that it was Russian WikiLeaks that helped Donald win the elections. The reports states that Russia intervened with the US Presidential elections in 2016. The assessment says that intelligence has identified Russian individuals who wanted to reduce the chances of Hilary Clinton winning the elections. An senior US intelligence official said that a ‘Russia’s goal was to favour one candidate over the other to help Trump get elected’

“I don't believe they (Russia) interfered" in the election, the hacking, could be Russia and it could be China. Or it could be some guy in his home in New Jersey."

Security adviser of Barack Obama, Lisa Monaco says “We may have crossed a new threshold and its incumbent upon us to take stock of that, to review, to conduct some after-action, to understand what has happened and to impart some lessons learned”. She also said that President Obama would want the report before he leaves office on 20th January 2017. The review will be done by director of national intelligence, James Clapper.

Republicans in congress feel that they would want to jump into any conclusions as yet. A representative from Trump’s transition team says that “there is no clear evidence. There’s a lot of innuendo, lots of circumstantial evidence, that’s it.”

Electoral College Can Still Change Donald’s Win

The charges that Russia has manipulated the count of electoral votes in favour of Donald Trump, has complicated things. December 19th will be a deciding day for Donald’s President Seat as the Electoral College can vote him out and make Hillary Clinton the new President of United States of America. There have been talks that this could be a monumental event in case Hillary wins in the voting.
