The pepper spray acted as fuel to the fire. Vyacheslav Oliynyk got angrier than before so the officers repeatedly hit him with baton. This did not stop the wrestler, who started bleeding heavily from his wounds on head and face. He defied several of their attempts at grappling him. He launched two more rounds before finally being pinned down to the ground by seven Police Officers. He still did not give up. He tried to prevent the officer from putting on handcuffs or trapping him in a leg lock.
When a female police officer tried to talk some sense to the wrestler and explain his arrest, he replied ‘Go f*ck yourself.’

His friends asked him to calm down for the sake of his sobbing son sitting in the back seat after which he did seem calm down a little.
Speaking to local media, Oliynyk later said he’s expecting a rematch – in a court room.
He told local media: ‘I admit I was partially guilty, I can’t tell you the whole thing.
‘I’m partly guilty because I did not stop and I was ignoring the police.
‘But I am not a criminal. As far as I can see there will be a court hearing and they will punish me somehow because they always do.
‘However the fact that police let me go home on the same day shows I didn’t do anything that bad.’
